This Privacy Policy explains how Mikey's Mobile Detailing ("we," "us," or "our"), a sole proprietorship serving Snohomish County, Washington, collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit our website, submit a quote request, or communicate with us, including via SMS text message.

We believe in complete transparency. We are a small, owner-operated local business. We have no interest in misusing your data, we just need it to do our job and take great care of your vehicle.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect information you voluntarily give us, nothing more. When you submit a quote request, we may collect:

  • Name, so we know who we're working with
  • Phone number, to discuss your quote, confirm your appointment, and send service updates via SMS (only if you opt in)
  • Email address, to send your quote summary and booking confirmation
  • Vehicle details, make, model, size, and condition, used to provide an accurate quote
  • Service type, interior, exterior, full detail, paint correction, etc.
  • Service location, your city or address so we know where to show up
  • SMS opt-in consent, recorded only when you actively check the optional SMS checkbox on our quote form
  • Notes, anything specific you want us to know about your vehicle

We also collect limited, anonymized technical data (browser type, pages visited, referring URL) through Google Analytics 4 to help us improve the website experience. This data is never linked to your identity.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to run our detailing business and serve you well. That means:

  • Sending you an accurate quote based on your vehicle and requested services
  • Calling, texting, or emailing to confirm and schedule your appointment
  • Sending appointment reminders and day-of updates (via SMS only if you opted in)
  • Following up after your service to ensure you're satisfied
  • Responding to any questions or concerns you have
  • Improving our website using aggregated, anonymous analytics data

We do not use your data for automated profiling, retargeting ads, or any purpose outside of providing you with excellent mobile detailing service.

4. SMS Messaging, Consent, Use & Your Rights

SMS is entirely optional. You will only receive text messages from us if you check the optional SMS consent box on our quote form. Checking that box is never required to receive a quote or book a service.

If you do opt in, messages from Mikey's Mobile Detailing may include:

  • Quote confirmation and pricing details
  • Appointment scheduling confirmation
  • Appointment reminders (day before and morning of)
  • On-my-way notifications and ETA updates
  • Post-service follow-up

Message frequency: Varies by appointment, typically 2-5 messages per service. We will never send spam or promotional blasts.

Msg & data rates may apply based on your wireless carrier plan.

⛔ To stop receiving texts at any time, reply STOP to any message from us. You will receive one final confirmation, and no further messages will be sent.

🔒 Your phone number is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing, ever. It is used solely to communicate with you about your detailing service.

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information, including your name, phone number, email, or SMS consent status, with any third party for marketing or commercial purposes. Full stop.

The only exceptions are narrow and necessary:

  • Technology service providers: We use tools like Twilio (SMS delivery), Cloudflare (hosting infrastructure), and Google Analytics (anonymized website analytics) that process data on our behalf. These providers are restricted from using your data for any purpose other than delivering services to us.
  • Legal requirements: If compelled by law, court order, or government authority, we may disclose information to the extent required. We will notify you when permitted to do so.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as needed to serve you and maintain reasonable business records, typically through the completion of your service plus a short follow-up period. When your data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

SMS opt-out records (STOP requests) are kept indefinitely to ensure we permanently honor your preference and never accidentally re-contact you.

We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), secure cloud infrastructure, and access controls.
