Why Woodinville

Big Trees, Barns and Wine Country

Woodinville is one of the easiest drives of my week. SR-9 runs straight south out of Snohomish, through Clearview and Maltby, and I'm in Woodinville in about twenty minutes. It's over the county line in King County, but it's on my regular list and it costs the same as a car in my own neighborhood.

I'm Mikey. I'm in Woodinville most weeks, I bring everything I need to your driveway except the water and the power, and there's no travel fee. It's just me, so the person who quotes your car is the person who details it, every time.

Most of the cars I do here live under big trees. Hollywood Hill and the roads out toward Cottage Lake are thick with Douglas fir and cedar, and a car parked under them all winter collects three things: needles in the cowl (the slot at the base of the windshield), sap spots on the roof and hood, and a green film of moss and algae in the window seals and along the rubber trim. The needles are the ones that cost money. The cowl has drains under it, and once they pack up, rainwater backs up and can find its way into the cabin. If you've had a damp passenger footwell after a heavy rain, tell me when you book and I'll look there first.

October adds leaves. Big-leaf maples drop them by the armful, and a wet leaf sitting on the paint for weeks leaches tannin that can leave a brown shadow on light colored paint. A leaf you blow off on Saturday is nothing. One that's been parked in the corner of the windshield since Halloween can take a polish to get out.

Hollywood Hill is horse country, too: multi-acre lots, barns, arenas, and the Saddle Club's riding rings on the hill. That shows up inside the trucks. Hay and shavings get into every seam, horse hair weaves into carpet the same way dog hair does, and arena dust settles on everything. An interior like that isn't a quick vacuum. It's extraction and a lot of patient work with a rubber brush, closer to 2–4 hours than 90 minutes, and I'll tell you that when I quote it, not after. Take the tack out and leave the mess. The mess is what I'm there for.

The long gravel driveways have their own signature: a fine gray dust on the lower doors and rocker panels, and more of it in the door jambs than anyone expects. Door jambs are part of every detail I do, not an add-on. For the driveway itself, I need an outdoor spigot and a power outlet I can reach from where the car is parked. If the closest ones are at the barn, the car can come to the barn.

And it is wine country. There are well over a hundred wineries and tasting rooms in and around town, from the Hollywood District around Chateau Ste. Michelle to the Warehouse District, and plenty of cases ride home in the back of a car. Every so often one breaks. Red wine in cargo carpet is very fixable if it's caught early: blot it, don't scrub it, and get hot water extraction into it before it dries in. If it's been there since summer, I'll tell you straight what's coming out when I see it.

Plenty of Woodinville driveways have a newer car in them, and that's where ceramic coating and paint correction earn their keep. Ceramic starts at $500, and paint correction starts at $400 for a one-step polish. I quote both after I've seen the paint, because the same model can need six hours or two days depending on what's in the clear coat. If you're coming up on a lease turn-in, a detail before the inspection usually costs less than the dealer's charge for a stained seat or a hazy bumper.

I work weekday afternoons and Saturdays. You don't need to be home: leave the keys, tell me where the spigot and outlet are, and the car's done when you get back.

Service Area

Every Part of Woodinville

98072 and 98077, the valley floor to the top of the hill. Same price everywhere, no travel fee.

Downtown & the Town Center

The middle of town along SR-522 and the Sammamish River. Townhomes and newer builds, where the spigot and outlet are the thing to check before you book.

The Hollywood District

Wine country around Chateau Ste. Michelle and the valley farms. Dusty in August, muddy in November, a case in the back year round.

Hollywood Hill

Acreage, barns and arenas on the hill. Long gravel drives, horse trailers, and trucks that have hauled more hay than groceries.

Cottage Lake

East out Woodinville-Duvall Road. Big firs, long driveways, and roofs that collect needles all winter.

Wellington

The north end, up toward Maltby and the Snohomish County line. The closest part of Woodinville to my house.

The Warehouse District

Dozens of tasting rooms in warehouse units. If you work there and your car sits in that lot all day, ask me whether it can be done there.

What I Do Differently Here

Built for Trees and Barns

The same services I offer everywhere, with the steps a wooded, horse-country town actually needs.

🌲

Sap and needles, done right

Sap comes off with a remover made for it, not by scrubbing. Needles come out of the cowl, where the water backs up.

🐴

Barn trucks welcome

Hay, shavings and horse hair take extraction and time. I quote that honestly up front, so the price doesn't move later.

🍷

Wine out of the carpet

Hot water extraction lifts most red wine. Fresh comes out easier than old, so don't let it sit.

🛡️

Ceramic if you want it

Newer car, or one you plan to keep? Ceramic starts at $500, quoted after I've seen the paint.

🚪

Door jambs and glass included

Gravel dust lives in the jambs. Jambs and glass are part of the detail, not add-ons.

Common Questions

Woodinville FAQ

Stuff Woodinville drivers ask before booking.

Do you come to all of Woodinville?

Yes. Downtown, the Hollywood District, Hollywood Hill, Cottage Lake, Wellington and the Warehouse District. 98072 and 98077 are both on my regular list, same price everywhere, with no travel fee.

How much does mobile detailing cost in Woodinville?

An exterior detail is $199–$279, an interior detail is $249–$329, and a full detail is $369–$449 ($369 sedan, $409 SUV or pickup, $449 van or 3-row). Ceramic coating starts at $500. The quote tool gives you the exact price in 60 seconds.

Can you get red wine out of car carpet?

Usually, yes, if it's caught early. Blot it, don't scrub it, and keep it from drying in. Hot water extraction lifts most of it. If it's been there for months, I'll tell you honestly what's coming out when I see it.

I have horses. Can you clean a truck full of hay and horse hair?

Yes. Take the tack out and leave the rest. Hay and horse hair take extraction and time, so an interior like that runs 2–4 hours instead of about 90 minutes, and I'll say so when I quote it.

Do you work on acreage with a long gravel driveway?

Yes. I need an outdoor water spigot and a power outlet I can reach from where the car is parked. If the closest ones are at the barn or the shop, the car can come to them.

Do you do ceramic coating in Woodinville?

Yes. Ceramic coating starts at $500 and paint correction starts at $400. I quote both after I've seen the paint, because most cars need some polishing before a coating goes on.

Do I need to be home?

No. Leave the keys and tell me where the spigot and outlet are. You pay after the work is done, never a deposit.
